WorkForce Carolina was founded in 1987 by Teresa Lewis of Mount Airy. When Teresa Lewis began her business, she saw a growing need for temporary employees to meet seasonal demands of local companies. As the years passed and times changed, Lewis provided more services to her customers to meet their growing human resources requests. Today WorkForce Carolina provides a wide range of services including employee recruitment and placement in both permanent and temporary employment, as well as drug testing services and pre-screening for companies and schools. As the needs of WorkForce Carolina’s customers change, Teresa Lewis and her staff customize their human resources offerings to meet each client’s requirements.

After 24 years of providing excellent local service, Lewis continues to nurture and lead a successful staffing enterprise with locations in Surry, Guilford and Yadkin Counties. WorkForce Carolina also services Alleghany, Forsyth, Iredell, Stokes, and Wilkes Counties in North Carolina along with Carroll, Grayson, and Patrick Counties in Virginia. Lewis now has 3 offices located in Mount Airy, High Point and Yadkinville, along with 4 on-site offices located within specific customer locations. WorkForce Carolina continues to expand its services into surrounding counties, and has successfully placed permanent positions within the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
